Originally composed for the Mira Costa High School Choirs under the direction of Kate Crellin. This piece is a great vehicle to feature your low altos and basses! I love both the natural imagery and the dramatic juxtaposition of moods in Anne Brontë’s text, and worked to reflect both in the music. I see it as simultaneously a celebration of life and a longing for what the speaker has yet to experience.
