Cells was originally composed for the A Cappella Academy Digital Choir, 2020. Designed to be equally presentable as a virtual choir performance or a traditional performance, this piece is a great fit for an ensemble that wants to explore something with a strong pop sensibility! The words were inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic - although we may be isolated in our corners of the world, we still share a common human experience of living, loving, and dreaming. Our cells were made to survive.
